Setelah maraknya penggunaan smartphone dengan metode input keyboard Qwerty, Samsung meyakini tren ke depannya adalah ponsel pintar dengan layar sentuh. Hal itu dibuktikannya dengan meluncurkan Samsung S5620 atau Samsung Monte. 

Samsung Monte S5620 merupakan smartphone dengan dukungan konektivitas high end. Samsung Monte S5620 telah dilengkapi dengan dukungan jaringan 3G dan WiFi, untuk berselancar di dunia maya dengan lebih cepat dan juga ponsel ini telah dilengkapi web browser dengan kualitas yang sangat bagus. 

Memasuki April silam, produsen ponsel terbesar kedua di dunia setelah Nokia itu memboyong Samsung Monte ke pasar ponsel Tanah Air. Langkah ini, diakui Samsung, karena tidak ingin kehilangan pasarnya di kategori ponsel layar sentuh.

Di Indonesia, ponsel yang memiliki fitur jejaring sosial dan multimedia lengkap tersebut saat ini dilepas di kisaran harga Rp 1,9 – Rp 2,0 juta. Sayangnya, konsumen tidak punya pilihan lain untuk warna. Monte hanya ditawarkan dengan pilihan warna oranye dan hitam, masing-masing dikombinasi dengan warna abu-abu.

Kelebihan:

- Bobotnya ringan dengan desain sederhana

- Koneksi Internet stabil, jarang terputus

- Pilihan widget variatif dan terus bertambah

Kekurangan:

- Layar sentuh kurang responsif

- Sangat sulit setting akses Wi-Fi

- Kemampuan baterai terbatas, hanya 960 mAh, kurang untuk pemakaian Internet aktif.
